About Us

Why Chose Us
At Seaford Endoscopy Center, our mission is to provide quality care and exceptional patient experience in a convenient and comfortable outpatient setting.  We specialize in performing colonoscopy (examination of the colon or large intestine) and upper endoscopy (an examination of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum).  For more information about our services please click on "Services".

We opened our doors in February 2008 and continue to provide exceptional outpatient endoscopy services under the care of Board Certified Gastroenterologist, Dr. Bradley P. Mackler and a staff of Registered Nurses and certified Gastrointestinal Technicians.  Procedural sedation and monitoring is provided by board-certified anesthesiologists.  The Center offers flexible scheduling in a comfortable and convenient setting.  Patients frequently comment on the high level of professionalism and expertise of the staff.  A recent patient commented, "Dr. Mackler and his staff were extremely caring and concerned thru this whole procedure and even into the post-procedure period, the day after.  They definitely hold themselves to the highest of standards for a medical profession.  Giving only the best of care to each individual."

The Seaford Endoscopy Center is fully accredited as an ambulatory surgery center (ASC)  by the Acceditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC).  We are one of over 5,000 ASCs in the country currently accredited by the AAAHC.

History of the Center

The Seaford Endoscopy Center opened its doors in the spring of 2008. The Center is owned by Dr. Bradley P. Mackler, a board-certified gastroenterologist who has been in private practice in Seaford since 1994. Dr. Mackler opened the Center to provide his patients with a choice as to where they receive their endoscopy procedures.

Value-based care for all patients

All patients at the Seaford Endoscopy Center will recieve quality care at a lower cost because we are a independent free-standing outpatient center. All patients admitted to the Center will receive one on one nursing care from a Registered Nurse. These same nurses will talk with you before your procedure to answer questions and help you with your pre-procedure instructions and will call you after your procedure to check on your recovery. When you arrive at the Center, you will be quickly checked in and admitted to the pre-procedure area. We will provide you with a warm blanket while we review your medical history and prepare you for your procedure. Some people feel a chill during their bowel cleansing. We will give you intravenous fluids that have been warmed to make you more comfortable. Relaxing music is played and the lights may be dimmed in your room if you desire. After your procedure, you may have your responsible person join you in the recovery area. Here, Dr. Mackler will review the procedure findings with you. The nursing staff will provide you with additional information regarding any newly presscribed medications, any dietary recommendations or procedure findings. You will be given a beverage and provided with comprehensive discharge instructions. Our average length of stay is only 2 hours. You will be awake and able to walk out when you are finished, but some precautions and restrictions will be needed for the rest of the day to ensure your safe recovery.
